This striking, large mid-century West German ceramic vase is a classic example of post-war European studio pottery. Produced in West Germany and clearly stamped to the base W. Germany 268-40, this sculptural vase features a rich brown glaze with deep relief detailing, characteristic of the geometric styles of the 1960s–1970s.
Standing an impressive 40cm tall, the vase has a strong architectural presence, with repeated banded motifs and textured panels that catch the light beautifully.
