This striking mid-century Swedish glass vase was designed by Bo Borgström for Åseda Glasbruk during the 1960s, a period renowned for bold colour experimentation and sculptural glass forms. The vase features a beautifully graduated blue body that deepens toward the centre, contrasted with a vivid green cased glass base, creating a dramatic and elegant colour transition.
Standing 26cm tall and measuring 9cm wide, the vase has a refined waisted silhouette that reflects the influence of Scandinavian modernism—balancing organic form with strong visual impact. Produced by Åseda, one of Sweden’s most celebrated art glass manufacturers, this piece showcases high-quality craftsmanship and rich colour clarity.
Ideal as a standalone decorative object or for displaying a small floral arrangement, this vase makes a superb addition to any mid-century modern, Scandinavian, or contemporary interior.
