Designed by the renowned Niels Koefoed, this extremely rare and stylish set of six Danish dining chairs (including two carvers) & matching extendable table. exudes the quintessential mid-century modern style, seamlessly blending functionality with elegant design. They were designed by Niels Koefoed and made in Denmark by Koefoed Hornslet in the 1960s, this model is called the ‘Lis’ chair.
The quality is outstanding, with sculptural and elegant frames that have a light appearance yet are very sturdy. They are comfortable and supportive, with legs that are nicely tapered, and the chairs have a fantastic appearance from all angles.
Typical Danish design with beautifully handcrafted details. This set is in excellent condition. Marked underneath the seat with a stamp. A really nice catch for any modern home
The oval-shaped table measures 148cm in length, 102cm in width, and stands 72cm tall and can extend to 246cm with the two additional leaves allowing the table to expand and contract to suit your space and company, perfectly accommodating intimate family dinners or larger gatherings. The chairs feature a comfortable 45cm seat height, 93cm high backs, 47cm wide and 43cm deep ensuring a cosy dining experience. This Danish masterpiece from the 1960s is a testament to timeless design and craftsmanship.
It is in great condition for its age.
